Celtic Sleeve Tattoos
People usually get celtic sleeve tattoos to show recognition for their heritage or as an alternative to tribal tattoos. Most celtic sleeve tattoos feature knots, shields, clovers, or any variety of other symbols of the western Europe roots.
The Celtics orally transmitted their history. This accounts for the extreme lack of knowledge about them prior to their contact with the classical civilizations of Greece and Rome. They were generally well educated, particularly on topics such as religion, philosophy, geography and astronomy. The Romans often employed Celtic tutors for their sons, many of these tutors were Druid priests. Religion was a force in Celtic culture. The Druids were their priestly caste. The Celts were extremely superstitious.
Celtic sleeve tattoos feature elaborate knotwork, interlacing patterns, spirals, animal forms and animal zoomorphics, and color. The early Celtics displayed their art especially in metal: jewelry , weapons (they were fierce warriors ), figurines and pots are some of the many artifacts that come to light. But with the recent revival in celtic sleeve tattoos, we find much celtic symbolism fitting in with celtic sleeve tattoos.
If you’re looking for that new half sleeve tattoo design, a celtic sleeve tattoo is great to show your heritage or just because you like the style.

Fake Tattoos
Fake tattoos are tattoos designed to be removable or temporary tattoos. The great thing about fake tattoos is that they provide you with an avenue to try out a tattoo design without the permanent effects of the real thing. Some of the ways to get fake tattoos are through transfer paper, transfer inks, airbrush, or simply drawn or painted on.
One of the earliest forms of fake tattoos was the old transfer ink style of fake tattoos that came in bubble gum packs and kids still swoon over on a regular basis. These tattoos were great because they are cheap to produce, but they provide a low quality fake tattoo that can be easily washed or rubbed off and the image is generally blurry compared to the real thing.
Airbrush tattoos are a great way to get high quality fake tattoos. The effect of airbrushing tattoos provides paint on the surface of the skin, does not stain the skin, and has no ill effects or damage to the skin.
Henna tattoos are a fake tattoo that provides a little bit more longevity than other fake tattoos. Henna tattoos are made from the Henna plant and made into a paste. You can generally get these tattoos in very ornate designs, but are limited in color to red, brown, black, and different shades of these colors.
If in doubt about a tattoo or how temporary fake tattoos really are, go ahead and use some photo manipulation. This is a great alternative to any real or temporary fake tattoos because it provides you a way to visualize what the tattoo will look like without even having to ink yourself at all.

Nautical Star Tattoos
Nautical star t
attoos feature a five-pointed star and each point is split in half and filled with a different color from the original, which creates a sort of 3 dimensional effects. Considered one of the “old school” tattoos, nautical star tattoos were originally used in the “Whitelaw” family crest from Britain and due to its navigational relevance has been often associated with sailors.
As of late the nautical star tattoo has become associated with various groups including the gay and lesbian community, punk rock groups, and as a Pagan symbol found about Ireland.
There are various reasons people decide to get nautical star tattoos. One reason is as a positive guide to the future. It is said that if you get the tattoo on your left wrist and align it with your thumb, it is supposed to provide you a positive guide to the future due to the fact that palm reading uses the left palm for forecasting the future. Other people get the tattoo, as stated below, to show their alliance or membership to a particular group. Other people may get nautical star tattoos simply because they like the design and appreciate the aesthetics.
Wearers may decide to get the nautical star as a tattoo is simply because they need a little direction and appreciate the symbolic principles of nautical star tattoos for that purpose. Mainly the tattoo is associated with sailors and the sailor trade due to the significant placed on navigation by the stars associated with sailing.
Currently, many nautical star tattoos are two color and predominately feature either a black and white star or a black and red color combo. Originally, nautical star tattoos, as placed on sailors, were of the black and red combination and a black and green combo. It is assumed these original color combinations were tattooed on sailors to help show them the port and starboard sides. The port side would have been the black and red combination while the starboard side would be the black and green combination. Anymore the colors don’t matter much as people get a color combination that reflects their own preference and the wearer can derive their own meaning from the color combination and tattoo meaning as they like.
Tattoo Design Ideas for Men
So you’ve decided to get a tattoo, now you need tattoo ideas for men. There are a few rules you should think about when getting tattoo ideas for men.
- Do not get tattoo ideas for men from your current love. In all we have seen these relationships fail and then you’re stuck with a tattoo to remember the experience of loss.
- Instead of getting tattoo ideas for men from symbols, think about getting a scene. A scene will allow you to incoroporate a few pieces into one. In all, a custom scene tattoo is a better form of tattoo ideas for men, than a simple symbol because you can include many things that are important to you.
- Just cause you’re a man doesn’t mean you have to get some cliché dragon or tiger tattoo. Though these are cool, getting one doesn’t necessarily exude the ideals you may want to provide.
Once you’re ready to work with these rules, it’s time to go get your real tattoo ideas for men. Some places to look are in tattoo magazines as well as art books that are available at the library and many bookstores. You can also check with the tattoo shops in your locale since they will be in touch with the current trends as well as what has become passé.
In the end it’s important to get a tattoo you’ll be happy with. For that reason, no matter what other people think, you should get your tattoo ideas for men from the heart and from what defines you. Don’t just go get the current “cool” tattoo, find elements that define who you are and try to combine them in an artistic way.
Tattoo ideas for men can come from many different places as well. Have a favorite team? Include their ensignia into your design. Have a favorite pet? Include a picture or reference to them. Have a favorite hobby or experience? Include a reference to that. You can read into this that you can get your tattoo ideas from many places and you don’t just have to rely on the portfolio books or flash books you find online or at the local tattoo parlor.
Peace Sign Tattoos
Peace sign tattoos come in many designs and styles. Many peace sign tattoos have color combinations that also call to mind the idea of peace. Peace sign tattoos can be found all over the body, from pieces on the neck, back, shoulder, sleeve, ankle, or any other place that can be imagined. When designing peace sign tattoos, many times the designer will incorporate other symbols that mean peace, like an olive branch which has been a sign of peace for a very long time.
The peace sign was originally designed by Gerald Holtom in 1958, for the British nuclear disarmament movement. Since then it has become an internationally recognized symbol for peace. Since the mid 1960’s peace sign tattoos have become popular with anyone or any group that wanted to display their belief in peace.
For a while, the peace sign tattoos were associated with hippies and castaways. Over time, peace sign tattoos have, like most tattoos, become more accepted. Peace sign tattoos can be seen among many swathes of people.
Peace sign tattoos come in many styles. These peace sign tattoo styles include vine designs, roses, the body of butterflies, as a pendant with ribbon running through it, and incorporation with doves, another international sign of peace.
The design of the peace sign tattoo is meant to signify a person in despair. The person in the illustration is said to be a person with arms outstreched to their sides and downward in a “what next” sort of way.
Music Note Tattoos

Behind the ear Music Note Tattoo
Music note tattoos have always been popular. The popularity of music note tattoos can be found among musicians and music enthusiasts alike. Many musicians choose to have tattoos of their instruments along with music note tattoos with treble or bass clefs. The treble and base clef is that script looking design at the front of a line of music. Many music enthusiasts have their music note tattoos incorporate a favorite song or artist to show their appreciation for that musician or special importance of a song.

Music and thus musical notes have held an important place with people dating back to the origins of humans and when writing music started. Half Sleeve Tattoo Designs, for Men: Selection
Well to start, it’s been said that there are two types of men who get tattooed. First there is the kind that know they want a tattoo, they don’t know why, but they want it. This type of man is getting the tattoo for how the half sleeve tattoo designs look and look on them. To them this is a big deal and for whatever reason they are getting this tattoo, the overall half sleeve tattoo design has been thoroughly thought about and created.

A third popular half sleeve tattoo design for men is the Koi fish tattoo. To shorten the meaning of the tattoo, generally it means success or luck. this meaning is derived from the Japanese story in which a Koi fish was successful in climbing a water fall at Dragon Point. Cherry Blossom Tattoo Designs
A little history about cherry blossom tattoos.
Cherry blossom tattoos are a metaphor for life in Japan because they have a believe brilliant bloom and then fall to earth. While in China, the cherry blossom is a symbol for love. On women a cherry blossom tattoo design is a symbol for beauty and sexuality.
Since traditional Japanese art commonly features the cherry blossom, it is often a featured piece in Japanese tattooing, where inspiration is drawn from traditional Japanese woodblock prints.
The samurai’s code, Bushido, used the cherry blossom as its emblem. In Japaneses culture, the blooming cherry tree is the purest form of beauty. But as the blossom fades, its blossoms are scattered through the wind. This represents the perfect death of a warrior who lived constantly in awareness and accepting of how fragile life is. The true life of a Samurai was living everyday knowing that it may be their last.
Creating Cherry Blossom Tattoo Designs
Cherry blossom tattoo designs are generally depicted realistically as a pink or white flower with small stems usually scattered on one branch. The whiter the cherry blossom flower the greater the transition of life expression. The Shidarezakura cherry blossom tattoo looks like a weeping willow tree and can depicted with a subject posing deductively behind the “see-through” curtain of branches. The Yaezakura cherry blossom tattoo designs have large, pink and soft flowers and look great against snowy mountains or green fields.
When seeking to make custom cherry blossom tattoo designs, be sure to find and consult a tattoo artist who is able to create the style and type of tattoo you’re seeking. They may have indispensable insight into placement, color choice, or overall design. As said before, there are many different cherry blossom tattoo designs to choose from and there are definately examples of great and not so great tattoos to seek inspiration from.
Whatever your choice of cherry blossom tattoo designs, you won’t have difficulty finding inspiration as there are many cherry blossom tattoos and photos of cherry blossoms.
Half Sleeve Tattoos, Design Your Own
A half sleeve tattoo is really a tattoo that wraps around either top of the or lower half in the arm. Since the arm is the most used place to get the tattoo, you do see loads of these around. How complete people design their tattoo?
First they decide where they want to gain the tattoo placed. Do you want it to the upper where you may hide part of it using a short sleeved shirt or for the lower arm where it will be relatively visible at virtually all times?
Next, for half or sleeve designs usually, it’s good to perform around a theme. By having a single theme, your tattoo will stream and fit together in ways a tattoo without a theme wouldn’t normally.
The following step is always to find small pieces to include in your tattoo. By including small designs in to your tattoo, you’ll further build flow and build a custom tattoo.
Finally, consult an established tattoo artist. You will definitely do this in the start to find an artist who creates designs that fit with your wanted tattoo and who will work with you to design a completely custom half sleeve tattoo style.
A tattoo can be an awesome piece of artwork or it is usually a piece that misrepresents that wearer. It’s important to go to the trouble to design and choose the correct tattoo for yourself. You’d hate to end up receiving a piece you despise on your body. Please make certain to consult and to have your tattoo placed on your body by some sort of professionally trained tattoo artist.
What’s that Tattoo Cost?
Probably the most common question, aside from “what don’t you think I should get” and “how bad will the process hurt? ” is “How a expensive is a tattoo? ” I know I wondered this my first time. Well the answer is in fact “it depends”.
The price is dependent on which kind of tattoo you’re getting. The least expensive are going to be a small, simple design just like a 1″ x 1″ sq or other simple condition. The most expensive tattoos are going to be intricate full body tattoos, otherwise known as suits since they cover the body like a suit. Splitting those two extremes will be half sleeves, full sleeves, whole backs, etc.
All elements vary, including who will be doing the design and if they need to illustrate it for anyone or if it’s from flash. Some other factors that will determine the price tag on the tattoo are; placement, design, colors, size, authentic or from flash, time to complete, and on what the market industry rate is and just what exactly the tattoo artist determines for being the going price for service.
Ask people along with tattoos and artists
You can ask them what they settled this tattoo piece or that particular and that will give you a round figure on the cost associated. Also ask people who have tattoos you want, or are in the style you prefer, where or who have it. From their answer you’ll be able to find a competent in addition to hopefully good artist to continue asking about pricing. As soon as you find a good tattoo musician, not the cheapest necessarily but will provide a good tattoo, get started asking questions. Tattoo artists, much like any business person, are looking to gain your enterprise and the more guidance they offer you the more you’ll trust them with all your tattoo.
At the end with the day you want a fantastic tattoo for your money, considering they are very permanent. Through speaking using the artist and acquaintances, hopefully you’ll become handy with them and it will make the price plus the decision to get tattooed by them very much easier.
Please note that tattoo prices will vary between artists and their portfolio should help you choose who to have tattoo anyone.
Good luck with your tattoos.
Full Sleeve Tattoo Designs
Full sleeve tattoo designs are gaining popularity. The term “full sleeve tattoos” refers to the fact the tattoo covers your entire arm from the shoulder into the wrist. These types of patterns get their name using their similarity from covering the arm just like a long sleeve shirt
,otherwise called a full sleeve.
The act of having a tattoo is your pretty bold move thinking of it’s harder to hide and catches the attention pretty easily. Because in the size of this skin icon, make sure that one does some diligent research to make sure that the full sleeve is exactly what you look for and the design you might be getting is something when you find yourself happy with permanently. Additionally, make sure you will not mind people staring on your arm, because using these larger tattoos, you’ll get a lot of looks.
So how a great deal will this cost? Well that all depends on the time it’ll choose to use tattoo, the intricacy belonging to the tattoo, colors used, and many other factors. Note how the more detail your skin image requires, the longer it’ll decide to try finish. Make sure you’re comfortable together with your tattoo artist and that they’ll have the capacity to complete your tattoo from the fashion and quality you like.
What full sleeve tattoo designs
are most well-known? Well, you can get any theme you choose, of course, but the most famous are; tribal, Japanese, hearth, and Celtic.
- Full sleeve tribal tattoos
element dark lines and primarily black color. Originally, these tattoos were suitable for protection of tribal warriors starting battle. - Flame sleeve tattoo designs come to be popular with younger tattoo fans since it can make your hand and arm seem like a fireball.
- Japanese sleeve tattoos undoubtedly are a popular choice and typically feature bright colors with intricate details. Many Yakuzas, Western gangsters, wear these tattoos.
- Celtic sleeve tattoo designs are popular and many people use this form to celebrate their customs and religious beliefs.
Those are only a couple of options and examples of what’s most popular, but like I said when you can pretty much create a sleeve of any concept or style. I’ve even seen full sleeve tattoos the place that the wearer got a skin icon that feature cartoon figures or their favorite competitors.

Dreaming Up Great Half Sleeve Tattoo Designs!
Where do you look when you seek your latest tattoo designs? If you’re like me, sometimes you need inspiration. So I was stuck looking for inspiration for my tattoo design.
For me I needed some help when deciding what to have designed. I asked friends, my wife, a few tattoo artists, and the final straw was when I was asking the person behind the counter at our local convenience store. At that point I decided to find another source for inspiration for my half sleeve tattoo design.
How I designed my half sleeve tattoo designs
Once I first decided that I wanted a tattoo I needed to decide on the placement. This was pretty simple because my favorites are half sleeve tattoo designs. Along with this was that I have a pretty good pain tolerance (not to toot my own horn or anything). Next I chose the colors. I liked pretty bright colors so I chose a selection of bright colors. The fourth thing I did was go through a bunch of tattoo samples from Chopper Tattoo and pieced my final half sleeve tattoo designs together.
My final tattoo was perfect and I owe a lot of it to my inspiration research. I ended up with the perfect half sleeve tattoo for me and I’ve enjoyed it ever since. I combined many of the elements I liked and represented me and with a little help designed my favorite piece. My suggestion to you is that no matter where you place your tattoo, make sure it’s exactly what you want.
Arm Tattoo Designs
With most cultures arm tattoos and thus arm tattoo designs are the most frequently made tattoos. The arm is historically the most popular place to get a tattoo in Asia, Europe, and America. The reason being that it is easier to show off great arm tattoo designs as opposed to other tattoos.
Though arm tattoo designs are the most popular, there are a wide variety of placements that can be made on the arm. You can get a band, a half sleeve tattoo design, full sleeve tattoo design, shoulder that also flow to the shoulder, and finally the forearm arm tattoo designs. Once placement has been decided, it’s time to choose how big, colors, and shape of your arm tattoo designs.
You choose many different designs for your tattoo designs. Anything from tribal to pinup girl or something totally custom can be placed on the arm and look great.
Additional choices to make with arm tattoo designs would be to get a rough idea of what you want with your arm tattoo designs. First you must choose the placement of your arm tattoo designs. Second, you choose how big and many people use their pain tolerance to decide the placement and size of their arm tattoo designs. Third, you choose what colors you’d like in your arm tattoo designs, you should consider your skin tone when making this decision. The final consideration with arm tattoo designs is the time and money associated. The relative cost and time commitment should be your final consideration because the other decisions have to do with something that is going to be placed on your body for a lifetime.
The process of custom tattoo designs.
The process of getting custom tattoo designs can be a daunting one to someone getting a tattoo for the first time. Recently some tattoos have gotten a bad rap because people don’t take the time to get something thoughtful or what they would really like to keep on themselves for a long time, some of these people have “tramp stamps”, which are generally found on the lower back. Many of these tattoos are not custom tattoo designs but something picked out of a book and do not accurately represent what the wearer would like to have on their body. So before taking the plunge of getting a tattoo, it’s a good idea to seek custom tattoo designs as a way to ensure that you get something that portrays the message you can live with for a very long time.
It can be difficult to articulate what you want to a tattoo artist sometimes, but the best artists will take your ideas and create custom tattoo designs that meet your requirements but fit your body style and tone. Well the good thing about custom tattoo designs is that unlike those poor people who don’t put a lot of thought into their tattoos, you’re able to work with the artist and their skills to create custom tattoo designs that you’ll be happy with for quite a while.
This information is important because you’ll have this tattoo on you for years to come and you should look for an artist that fits the style of custom tattoo designs that you are seeking and the experience to take your ideas for custom tattoo designs and provide you with the end result you’ll be happy with.
Before going to a tattoo artist for custom tattoo designs, be sure to get an idea of what you want before hand. Some ideas for brainstorming is to write down information about yourself. Some ideas of information to include would be how you think others view you, what your favorite sports are, any other interests, as well as any relationships or important people that are important to you. At this time you are trying to gain awareness of yourself and this will provide you with the ammo you need to successfully brainstorm custom tattoo designs for yourself.
The rise of tribal tattoos
The meaning of tribal tattoos vary between races, age, event, and memories of the person getting the tattoo. Each person derives a different meaning for their tattoo and tribal tattoos. The practice of tribal tattoos has been around for thousands of years and can be found among many different races around the world.
Today many tribal tattoo designs can be found online and lends itself to expansion of the tribal tattoo art. The internet is a key location for gaining insight to the type of tattoo you’d like to get and tribal tattoos have grown in popularity recently by being placed on the lower back, as half sleeve designs, full sleeve designs, as well as full back tattoos. Not only are they popular, but they are popular between the sexes with men and women of all ages and races getting tribal tattoos.
Cultural difference lend tribal tattoos with different meanings. Tattoo designs, be them tribal or otherwise lend themselves to allowing the wearer to be distinct.
It’s important when choosing a tattoo to make sure that you choose one that fits the area you want it placed as well as the meaning you want to portray, the many different tribal tattoos allow the wearer to portray the message they would like and fit in many different body areas. One thing to do when getting a tribal tattoo is to make sure that your chosen tattoo design does not represent something that you don’t mean it to, so make sure to investigate your chosen tattoo before placing it on your body. Tattoos are permanent.
Many tribal tattoos are black. Tribal tattoos are usually symmetrical and some tribal tattoos are made with color but otherwise black is the generally chosen color. When choosing a tribal tattoo, again it’s important to choose a design that you can live with.

That’s also a reason why many people getting tattoos have a half sleeve tattoo design first, so people notice it and turn heads.
Good tattoo designs will give you pride and people will be more likely to complement you on it than if you have a bad one. Remember that the tattoo is a form of art and your half sleeve would be the canvas for whoever you have design it.
